Cath is celebrating Type Hype at the Moxie Fab World blog this week with this inspiration photo.
I chose papers & stamps from Amy Tangerine for my card ... with a typed message that is a tribute to my sister, who is the master of the perfectly timed "that's what she said" that never fails to elicit laughter when we're together.
I added several types of Washi Tape for the Washi's Up Recipe Swap at Catered Crop.
I'm playing along with another Dare to Get Dirty Challenge at SplitCoast Stampers ... using the Monochromatic Color Palette from the Dynamic Duos.
I combined Kraft Fun Day Everyday Fun paper from My Mind's Eye with this month's Sketch For You To Try.

White cards are a challenge for me ... not so much as a design element ... but because I'm a smudger. I get ink all over my fingers ... my nails ... my workspace when I create, and inevitably those smudges of ink gravitate to white space. It took three tries to keep from smudging the background on this design (although I will confess there's a tiny smudge on the back).
I used the three colors from this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge to ink-up my Hero Arts Leaf & Flower Background.
I trimmed it down for the layout of this week's iSpy Sketches.
Since I'm always in need of sympathy cards, I used a sentiment from Hero Arts With Sympathy. I finished with a punched butterfly and lots of white pearls.
While watching the Olympics last night, I thought it would be fun to make a sports-themed card. During the opening ceremonies last night, they mentioned that this would be the first Olympics for Women's Boxing, so that's the theme I chose ... a card for anyone fighting the good fight.
I used this week's ColourQ Challenge together with this week's Retro Sketch
(flipped on its side) ... which is sponsored by The Alley Way. The stamps for my card are from The Alley Way's Work It Out.
I paper-pieced the gloves and training bag & added a paper punched button with pink twine as an embellishment.

I still remember the evening I discovered the SplitCoast Stampers website ... I paged through in awe. I had no idea there was an online stamping community ... it was like I had arrived in an online paradise that I never wanted to leave. I immediately became a Fan Club Member because I didn't want to miss a single thing ... and I will forever dream of joining the ranks of the *Dirty Girls* one day.
One of the fun things each year for Fan Club Members only is the chance to *pretend* you're a Dirty Girl and join those talented ladies for a week of fun challenges ... so of course, I'm jumping right in.
I've had the My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Collection & stamps on my studio table for a while, so I decided to use them for this card. I just love those colors together.
Since my family & so many of my friends are across the miles, the telephone (and computer) represent our primary method of communication ... this card is made in honor of all of the friends across-the-miles I've made through SplitCoast Stampers and the online creative community.
This week's Unscripted Sketch looks like a Polaroid to me, so that's where I started with my design.
I attached an EAD Designs Polaroid Frames Rub-on to the package from some Amy Tangerine HI Friend Embellishments (even her packaging is pretty). I added some Amy Tangerine Stickers to some of her papers (swiped with a little more strawberry ink) and a stamped sentiment from Dear Lizzy.
This card makes me smile ... can't wait to see what you create.
This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from the vintage style and modern motives of BeautySpot. Husband & Wife Sergey & Polina create gorgeous jewelry.
They describe it this way ... "It's the most exciting part - you have something in your mind and then you do the "magic" work, wait a little bit while resin dries and you already can hold that idea in your hands, turn it into the gift for the dear friend, associate it with some great moments of your life. I chose this beautiful Herbarium Necklace to inspire my card design.
I love the organic leaves with the vibrant hues.
Several Hero Arts Real Leaves stamps were stamped in Distress inks on a piece of Bo Bunny Gabrielle paper. After stamping, I cut it into a circle and sponged on lots more distress ink to try to create a similar depth as seen in the pendants. I finished with a sentiment from Hero Arts Huge Hugs.
This week at Jingle Belles we're celebrating Santa Baby by making cards featuring the denizens of the North Pole ... Santa, the under-appreciated Mrs. Claus, elves or reindeer. I chose to go with a prancing reindeer this week.
After the traditional holiday colors the last two weeks, I decided to go with the unexpected CR84FN Color Palette this week.
Tim Holtz Holiday Collections Reindeer Collage was stamped in Dark Brown ink on Bo Bunny Gabrielle designer paper. Hero Arts Flourished Pine was stamped in the same ink (after stamping off once) on a piece of hexagon paper from Basic Grey.
The layout is this week's sketch from The Paper Players featuring a vintage button from Paper Trey Ink with some chocolate twine.
