Solitude is the theme of this week's 52-Card Pick-up Challenge. Sue posted a video that is a reminder of the joy and discovery that can come with alone time. There was a time in my life that being alone scared me ... thankfully, as I have aged, I have come to actually look forward to and cherish my alone time.
I thought this wonderful vintage image from Artistic Outpost's Keeper plate illustrated that joy well. It reminds me of my Grandma when she was young, which makes me smile. I could so imagine her hanging out on the creek bank catching her own fish for supper. The sentiment is directed to me (and to you) ... an affirmation to remind myself that I'm a Keeper.
The papers are Basic Grey Origins and the sketch is this week's Critter Sketch Challenge. I masked the image and stamped the grass several times to fill the panel. The image was colored with colored pencils.

Wonderful papers to use with the beautiful Keeper image! The flourishes on the paper are in just the right spot to highlight the image! Thanks for playing at the CSCB.
