I had the wonderful pleasure of participating in Lisa Clarke's Polka Dot Cottage Big Button Challenge.
She sent her amazing polymer clay buttons to a variety of artists to see what we would create. I decided that I wanted to make my button into a big button bloom. I used the fabulous color palette of the button as the starting point for my design.
The Hero Arts Bold Flourish was stamped multiple times on a scrap of polka dot designer paper (I think from K&Company) together with a sentiment from Hero Arts Anytime Messages. I hand-cut the flower petals from Tim Holtz Swirls Grunge Board & sprayed them with Ranger Raisin Color Wash and Oriental Poppy Glimmer MIsts for an all-over sparkle. I finished with some fuzzy blue fiber tied through the holes in the button.
