Sharon has another fun challenge this week ... to make round cards. I loved her idea for using a punch to create the card base. This one uses my Giga Scallop Circle Punch, which produces the perfect little "tuck-in" sized card.
I wanted to use striped paper for the Daring Card Makers Candy Stripe Challenge, so this scrap of Chatterbox DP was perfect. I used the reverse side of the paper for the stripe and one of the circle layers. The Hero Arts sentiment is stamped in ColorBox Chalk Burnt Sienna and punched out with a 7/8" circle. I then layered the Martha Stewart Scallop Circle on top of 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" circles. The trickiest part was trimming the edges of the strip. When I do it again, I will adhere the strip first and then punch both layers and the strip together.
